Jaylo's intralogistics project with SKF is now a reality
A few months ago we announced that we were immersed in the development of an emblematic project for Jaylo, today we can say that it is already a reality and that it is operating at full capacity.
The recently created Intralogistics division has developed, together with the teams from MRC Soluciones, Toyota Material Handling and Laso Informática, a solution that will take the logistics management of our SKF client to a higher level.
The project has included the construction of a platform that connects our facilities with those of our client SKF and through which, in an automatic and sustainable way, we supply online and collect the finished product on demand 24 hours a day and 7 days a week.
The in-house logistics system implemented for SKF has significant advantages over traditional ones. Virtually the entire process has been automated, allowing significant time and cost savings, as well as improving safety. Each operation, in addition to being supervised in real time, is recorded for greater traceability.
The creation of the platform means, on the one hand, eliminating the transfer of materials with motor vehicles from one facility to another, thereby achieving a significant emission reduction; and, on the other, that the client can dispense with their warehouse and dedicate that extra space to the installation of new production lines.
The entire system is powered by electricity from renewable energies, in accordance with Jaylo's commitment to reduce the CO2 footprint, in order to protect and preserve the environment.
These aspects cause such an important improvement in the competitiveness of the company that they guarantee the profitability of an in-house logistics service and allow the implementation of 4.0 production processes.
